TOOR DAL-METHI RASAM / MENTHYADA SAARU

INGREDIENTS: 1.2 Cups Toor Dal. 2.2 Tsps Methi Seeds. 3.4-5 Green Chilles. 4.1 Cup Grated Coconut. 5.Haldi. 6.Hing. 7.2 Tbsps Tamarind Juice. 8.1 Tbsp Jaggery. 9.Salt To Taste. 8.Required Amount of Water. 9.Curry Patta. 10 Coriander Leaves. TADKA / SEASONING: 1 Tsp Ghee,1Tsp Methi & 1Tsp Mustard Seeds,Hing & Curry Patta. METHOD: 1.Pressure Cook the Toor Dal & 1Tsp of Methi with required water for 3-4 whistles. 2.When its cool,churn nicely & put it in a thick bottomed vessel by adding water,Haldi,Hing,Tamarind Juice,Jaggery & Salt & boil nicely 3.Grind Grated Coconut,Green Chilles & little Coriander leaves to a Smooth Paste & add it to the boiling Dal. 4.When it starts boiling nicely put the Tadka.

TOOR DAL LEMON RASAM / NIMBEHANNINA SAARU

INGREDIENTS: 1.2 Cups Toor Dal. 2.3-4 Green Chilles. 3.2 Inches Ginger. 4.Haldi. 5.Hing. 6.Salt to Taste. 7.Coriander Leaves. 8.Curry Patta. 9.Required Water. 10.1 Big Size Lemon. TADKA / SEASONING: 1.1 Tsp of Ghee, 1Tsp of Mustard Seeds OR Cumin Seeds, Hing. METHOD: 1.Pressure Cook the Dal with required water for 3-4 whistles. 2.Slit  & cut the Green Chilles  & Ginger Length Wise. 3.When cool put the Dal to a thick bottomed vessel & churn nicely with required Water. 4.When it starts boiling add Haldi,Hing,Green Chilles,Ginger,Salt,Chopped Curry Patta & Coriander Leaves. 5.Put the Tadka after it boils nicely. 6.Before serving add lemon juice. 7.Serve Hot With White Rice.

TOOR DAL RASAM / BELE SAARU

INGREDIENTS: 1. 2 Cups of Toor Dal. 2. 2 Big Tomatoes. 3. 3-4 Tsps of Rasam Powder. 4. 2 Tbsps of Tamarind Juice. 5. 1 Tbsps of Jaggery. 6. Salt To Taste. 7. Curry Patta & Coriander Leaves For Garnishing. 8. Required Quantity of Water. 9. Hing. 10.Haldi. TADKA / SEASONING:  Heat 1Tsp of Ghee in a small Pan,add 1 Tsp of Mustard Seeds,Hing & Curry Patta. METHOD: 1.Pressure Cook the Dal with required Water for 3-4 whistles. 2.Wash & Grate OR Mash the Tomatoes . 3.When cool put the Dal to a thick bottomed vessel & Churn nicely. 4.Add the mashed Tomatoes,Haldi,Hing,Salt,Tamarind Juice,Jaggery & required amount of Water. 5.When it starts boiling add Rasam powder & boil nicely in Low Flame.Add Chopped Coriander leaves & Curry Patta . 6.Put Tadka at the end & serve hot with white Rice.

PEPPER RASAM / MENASINA SAARU

INGREDIENTS: 1. 1 Tbsp Cumin Seeds. 2. 1 Tbsp Pepper. 3. 2 Tbsp Urad Dal. 4. 1 Cup Grated Cobra. 5. Little Hing.  6. Salt to Taste. 7. Required Quantity of Water. 8. 1 Glass of Milk. 9. Curry Patta for Garnishing. 10.1 Tbsp Jaggery (Optional). TADKA / SEASONING: 1 Tsp Ghee,1Tsp Cumin Seeds,Little Hing & Curry Patta. METHOD:   1. Heat Little Ghee in a Pan & Add cumin Seeds,Pepper,Urad dal,Grated Cobra & Hing. Fry Nicely  & keep it aside. 2. When Cool,Grind all the fried ingredients to smooth paste. 3. Mix the grinded Paste with required water & keep it for boiling in a thick bottomed vessel . 4. Add Salt,Jaggery & Curry Patta.When it starts boiling nicely,put the Tadka. 5. While serving add 1 Glass Hot Milk.

TOMATO RASAM / SAARU

TOMATO RASAM: INGREDIENTS: 1. 2 Big Tomatoes. 2. 2 Green Chilles . 3. 1Tsp Jeera. 4. 1Tsp Pepper. 5. Half Tsp Haldi. 6. 2Tsp Jaggery. 7. 2Tbsp Tamarind Juice. 8. Hing. 9. Salt To Taste, 10.Half Cup Grated Coconut. 11.4 Cups of Water. 12. Coriander Leaves & Curry Patta For Garnishing. TADKA / SEASONING: 1Tsp Ghee,1tsp Mustard Seeds,Little Hing. METHOD: 1.Wash Nicely & Cut the Tomatoes. 2.Warm Jeera, Pepper, Green Chilles, Hing, Cut Tomatoes, Grated Coconut & grind smoothly. 3. Boil the grinded smooth mixture by adding Water,Haldi,Hing,Jaggery,Tamarind Juice & Salt. 4. When it starts boiling nicely add Coriander Leaves & Curry Patta. 5. Put Tadka at the end & serve hot with Rice.
