TOOR DAL RASAM / BELE SAARU

INGREDIENTS:

1. 2 Cups of Toor Dal.
2. 2 Big Tomatoes.
3. 3-4 Tsps of Rasam Powder.
4. 2 Tbsps of Tamarind Juice.
5. 1 Tbsps of Jaggery.
6. Salt To Taste.
7. Curry Patta & Coriander Leaves For Garnishing.
8. Required Quantity of Water.
9. Hing.
10.Haldi.

TADKA / SEASONING:
 Heat 1Tsp of Ghee in a small Pan,add 1 Tsp of Mustard Seeds,Hing & Curry Patta.

METHOD:

1.Pressure Cook the Dal with required Water for 3-4 whistles.
2.Wash & Grate OR Mash the Tomatoes .
3.When cool put the Dal to a thick bottomed vessel & Churn nicely.
4.Add the mashed Tomatoes,Haldi,Hing,Salt,Tamarind Juice,Jaggery & required amount of Water.
5.When it starts boiling add Rasam powder & boil nicely in Low Flame.Add Chopped Coriander leaves & Curry Patta .
6.Put Tadka at the end & serve hot with white Rice.
