TOOR DAL-METHI RASAM / MENTHYADA SAARU

INGREDIENTS:


1.2 Cups Toor Dal.
2.2 Tsps Methi Seeds.
3.4-5 Green Chilles.
4.1 Cup Grated Coconut.
5.Haldi.
6.Hing.
7.2 Tbsps Tamarind Juice.
8.1 Tbsp Jaggery.
9.Salt To Taste.
8.Required Amount of Water.
9.Curry Patta.
10 Coriander Leaves.

TADKA / SEASONING:
1 Tsp Ghee,1Tsp Methi & 1Tsp Mustard Seeds,Hing & Curry Patta.

METHOD:

1.Pressure Cook the Toor Dal & 1Tsp of Methi with required water for 3-4 whistles.
2.When its cool,churn nicely & put it in a thick bottomed vessel by adding water,Haldi,Hing,Tamarind Juice,Jaggery & Salt & boil nicely
3.Grind Grated Coconut,Green Chilles & little Coriander leaves to a Smooth Paste & add it to the boiling Dal.
4.When it starts boiling nicely put the Tadka.
