HORSE GRAM RASAM(HURALI SAARU)

HURALI SAARU (HORSE GRAM RASAM): INGREDIENTS: 1.250 Gms Horse Gram(HG) (Hurali). 2.Haldi. 3.4-5 Tsps Tamarind Juice. 4.3-4 Tsps Jaggery. 5.Salt to Taste. 6.Required Water.  FOR GRINDING: 1.1 Cup Grated Coconut. 2.2 Cardamom (Elachi). 3.4-5 Tsps Rasam Powder. 4.3-4 Tsps Cooked HG(Hurali). TEMPERING: 1 Tsp Oil,1 tsp Mustard Seeds,2-3 Broken Red Chilles,Hing,Curry Leaves. METHOD: 1.Clean,Wash & Soak HG Over Night. 2.Pressure Cook the HG for 5-6 Whistles with 1HG : 3Water. 3.Grind all the above ingredients to smooth paste. 4.When cool sieve the cooked HG. 5.Keep the Cooked Horse gram separately. 6.Take the thick liquid to prepare Rasam by adding Haldi, Grinded Mixture,Tamarind Juice,Salt & Jaggery, 7.Stir continuously for sometime & Boil nicely till it smells good. 8.Prepare Tempering & add to the Rasam. SOJI LADDU (RAVE UNDE): INGREDIENTS: 1.2 Cups Fine Soji (Semolina)(Chiroti Rave). 2.2 Cups Powdered Sugar. 3.1 Cup Grated Cobra Powder.(Dry Desicated Coconut). 4.1 Tsp Elachi Powder(Cardamom powder). 5.Half Cup Cashew Pieces(Kaaju). 6.Half Cup Kismis. 7.1 Glass Hot Milk. 8.4-5 Tsp Ghee. METHOD: 1.Take Thick Bottomed Kadai.Put Little Ghee & fry Soji till it Smells Good. 2.Put Little Ghee & fry Cashew Pieces & Kismis to Golden Brown Colour. 3.Add Sugar,Grated Coconut,Cardamom Powder,Fried Cashew & Kismis to fried Soji & Mix Well by Adding Required Quantity of Milk. 4.Take a Tsp of Mixture & Make Round Balls by rolling in the Palm. PS:VERY EASY & TASTY SWEETS.TIME TAKEN IS 15-20 MINUTES.

  INGREDIENTS:  1.2Cups Besan.   2.1Cup Fine Soji.(Semolina) 3.1Cup Sour Curd. 4.1Tsp sugar. 5.1Tsp Eno OR Baking(Cooking) Soda. 6.Salt to taste. 7 . For Seasoning: 2Tsp oil,1Tsp Mustard,Hing & Little Curry Leaves. GARNISHING: Chopped Coriander Leaves,3-4 Finely Chopped Green Chilles & Half Cup Grated Coconut. METHOD: 1.Mix soda,sugar,salt & curd nicely.Keep it aside for 15-20 Minutes. 2.Sieve Besan & Soji(warm soji little in a pan before mixing) nicely without any lump. 3.Add curd, Besan & Soji together & make a smooth flowing consistency. 4.Smear oil to the plates & pour the mixture evenly. 5.Steam it for 12-15 minutes. Then cut it into desired shape & garnish with seasoning ,green chillies,coriander leaves & grated coconut. Serve Hot with Green Chutney OR Ketchup.
